Welcome to INNotope

The INNotope GmbH is a small research and development company located in Innsbruck, Austria – in the heart of the Alps. INNotope is a spin-off of the University of Innsbruck and and is specialized in the production of stable isotope labeled nucleic acid precursors and oligonucleotides.

INNotope was founded in 2020 by Felix Nussbaumer, Michael Juen and Christoph Kreutz together with the uniholding gmbh. INNotope is focused on the production of stable isotope (SI) labeled RNA/DNA amidites and triphosphates, SI-label carrying nucleic acids and also SI labeled modified RNA nucleosides and nucleotides.
The company builds upon the long standing  know-how on nucleic acid SI labeling developed in the research group of Prof. Christoph Kreutz (link).

Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your custom target RNA/DNA building block, SI labeled RNA/DNA or modified nucleotides/nucleosides. Go to contact formular.

Felix Nussbaumer, CEO

During his PhD studies Felix developed highly efficient and robust synthetic methods to produce SI labeled RNA and DNA precursors for chemical and enzymatic nucleic acid production.

Christoph Kreutz
Christoph holds an Associate Professor position at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, University of Innsbruck. In the last ten years his main research focus was  the chemo-enzymatic stable isotope labeling of nucleic acids for NMR spectroscopic and mass spectrometric applications. The products offered by INNotope are based on the synthetic procedures, which were and are developed in his research group.

Michael Juen
Michael obtained his PhD degree in the field of nucleic acid structural biology in 2019 and then joined Roche Diagnostics (Penzberg, Germany) as research sciencist in the product development department.  He further holds a Bachlor degree in ‘Economy & Management’ from the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).
